Premium Member Spotlight: Geodis with Frédéric Janik, Managing Director

1. GEODIS is one of the world's leading logistics providers, with operations spanning
freight forwarding, contract logistics, distribution and supply chain solutions. What
does GEODIS presence in Finland look like today, and what role does the Finnish
market play within the Group's wider international network?

GEODIS is indeed a global leader in transport and logistics. The company operates in nearly
170 countries, serves 91,000 active customers, and employs close to 50,000 people
worldwide.

In Finland, GEODIS is represented by a team of 13 logistics experts based in Helsinki and
Riga (Latvia). This local team offers all modes of global transportation through GEODIS’
extensive network, serving a wide mix of public and private customers of all sizes and
industries. Finland’s strategic position in GEODIS’s international network enables local
businesses to access world-class logistics solutions, connecting them efficiently to global
markets and supporting their growth through innovative, reliable, and sustainable supply
chain services.

2. Logistics is increasingly about much more than moving goods from one place to
another. What sets GEODIS apart today, and how are you helping customers build
smarter, more efficient supply chains?

GEODIS sets itself apart by delivering comprehensive, innovative, and tailor-made logistics
solutions for customers ranging from multinationals to small businesses and individuals. Our
global operations optimize every stage of the supply chain—including production,
warehousing, multimodal transport (road, air, sea, rail), order management, last-mile delivery,
customs, and reverse logistics. Each customer benefits from a dedicated GEODIS contact,
ensuring efficient information flow and responsive service.

Sustainable logistics are a priority for us. We address this through multimodal transport,
biofuels (such as HVO, B100), mass balance solutions, and new vehicle technologies. These
end-to-end capabilities help our customers build smarter, more resilient, and more
responsible supply chains, and I like to think that they are a reason for the long-term
relationships we maintain.

3. In recent years, companies have had to rethink their supply chains around
resilience, security and geopolitical uncertainty. How has this changed client
expectations of a logistics partner like GEODIS?

The need for resilient and secure supply chains has become a top priority for our clients.
Expectations for logistics partners like GEODIS now include flexible solutions and transparent
communication. GEODIS, as a State-owned company belonging to SNCF French Railways,
is uniquely positioned to guarantee compliance with all international regulations. We operate
with proactive risk management, especially on challenging routes such as shipments to
Ukraine. Our ability to adapt quickly and support customers through uncertain times is a key
differentiator and source of trust.

4. GEODIS has strong roots in France and an international footprint. From your
experience, where do you see the greatest opportunities to strengthen trade and
business connections between France and Finland?

There are significant opportunities in sectors such as technology, manufacturing, and green
energy. Both France and Finland have highly innovative industries, and logistics can play a
vital role in facilitating cross-border collaboration and trade. We are already very involved with
datacenter projects and are looking in particular to expand our involvement in
pharmaceuticals and temperature-sensitive deliveries.

5. As a Premium Member of the CCFF, what value do you see in a network like the
French-Finnish business community, particularly for companies operating across
borders?

Being part of the French-Finnish Chamber of Commerce is invaluable. The committees that
have been set up offer an easy and direct way to access local expertise, and the networking
events provide opportunities to meet interesting business contacts—while also being
enjoyable events to attend.
